PAYE address – contacting Pay As You Earn by post

The main way in which people pay Income Tax in the UK, the PAYE postal address is needed by thousands of people per year in order to raise concerns, ask questions, or send in documentation. Pay As You Earn is the method through which tax is taken out of your pay at source, and is something that many people are unlikely to think twice about. However, there are lots of instances in which someone may need to speak to the team responsible for PAYE, and doing so through the post is a method that some people seem to prefer. There are other ways to contact PAYE, such as via phone – but if you need to send a letter to PAYE, address it to the following:

Pay As You Earn and Self Assessment
HM Revenue and Customs
BX9 1AS
United Kingdom

Alternatively, complaints about PAYE should be addressed to:

PAYE and Self Assessment Complaints
HM Revenue and Customs
BX9 1AB
United Kingdom

If you are sending your PAYE letter via courier, neither of the above addresses should be used. PAYE mail sent via courier should be addressed to:

HM Revenue and Customs
Benton Park View
Newcastle Upon Tyne
NE98 1ZZ
United Kingdom
