What is the ESA email address?
As one of the main ways that people communicate in the modern day, it is unsurprising that many people want to find an ESA email address. Emailing the Employment & Support Allowance team would seem like a sensible way to handle things, especially if you want written communication without having to send things via post to the ESA team. However, the Department of Work and Pensions team do not officially provide an email to contact ESA. However, as the ESA is administered in some ways by local Jobcentre Plus teams, you may be able to get your query answered by emailing the general enquiries email address for Jobcentre. You can do this by emailing:
For your email subject, it may be advisable to put your local Jobcentre location through which your claim is being processed. Please note, people that have used this method to raise an issue have said that it could take several weeks for it to be processed – this is as it is dealt with by a central team, who then have to redistribute it to local teams. This is not an officially advised way to get in touch with ESA, and it would be worth speaking to the ESA helpline team first before emailing.
The DWP have offered an alternative email address, but this is exclusively for complaints.
We do not currently include an email address for complaints, but we provide an address for written complaints as well as telephone and text phone
numbers. Our website also includes an email address for members of the public who wish to contact DWP Ministers.
In the interests of customer service, I have included an email address that you can use to submit an ESA complaint.
